Washington State is known for its beautiful landscapes and incredible places to spend outdoors, and some areas are just so breathtaking that it's worth the trek no matter how hard it is.

Discover one of Washington's most beautiful, pristine, and vibrant blue lakes located in the Northern Cascades!

The 389 foot tall Diablo Dam created the reservoir known as Diablo Lake while the unique and striking blue color is from finely ground rock powder formed by nearby glaciers that are carried in by the creeks and floats in the lake reacting to the light.

The hike around the lake itself is 7.5 miles round-trip with some unique vegetation and a view of the Ross Dam and but if you are mainly looking for the scenic views then go to the Diablo Lake Vista Point at N Cascades Hwy, Rockport, Washington 98283 and stop at the viewpoints while driving on Hwy 20.

This area can be far away for some of you so you can camp at the following campgrounds:

Each individual campsite has a max limit of 8 people, 3 tents, and 2 vehicles. Fires are allowed as long as they are in designated fire grates and attended at all times. You will have to bring your own firewood or purchase it from a local vendor in the area. You cannot collect firewood from the campground.

We will update this post as soon as we go on this adventure!
